PREVIOUS NAMES: Cardiomanes reniforme


MĀORI NAME: kopakopa (PlantsDetails.Williams 1971), raurenga (PlantsDetails.Best 1942): kōnehu (?? PlantsDetails.Beever 1991).


COMMON NAME: kidney fern


MEDICINAL: Leaves used to heal ulcers (Kerry-Nicholls 1886). However, as Brooker, Cambie and Cooper 1987 point out, it is possible that he misidentified the plant, since kopakopa is a Māori name for Plantago species, which has similar uses.


SCENT: Leaves used to scent oil (Best 1942)
